Opera in the Country returns for a joyful weekend of music, celebrating the special role that music plays during Christmas time. Join us for an uplifting concert featuring the exceptional talents of emerging opera singers Olive Cullen, Lily Flynn, Nicholas Matters, Charlotte Goode, and Matthew Duffy, joined by the brilliant pianist Ronan Apcar and classical double bassist Charlotte Scanlan.

Delight in a beautifully curated program of Christmas favourites, from timeless carols such as O Holy Night and Angels We Have Heard on High, to festive operatic classics like Ave Maria and excerpts from Handel’s Messiah. The program also features modern favourites including Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and I'll Be Home For Christmas, glorious instrumental moments from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker, and virtuosic double bass solos.
