ABOUT
The Burgundian Consort's annual recital has become a fixture of UNSW's concert calendar, always offering a delicious melange of choral morsels presented by UNSW' chamber choir. This year's program includes Australian works by Paul Stanhope, Matthew Orlovich and Joseph Twist, as well as the world premiere of Ronan Apcar's Preludes, winner of the 2019 Willgoss Choral Composition Prize.
Motets of Copland, Duruflé and Bardos are contrasted by madrigals of Thomas Morley, telling tales of joy and of heartache. The eighteen singers of the Burgundian Consort present this program in the glorious acoustic of the Sir John Clancy Auditorium.
Featured non-Australian music: Copland, Durufle, Bardos, Morley
