ANAM Musicians Ronan Apcar (toy piano) and Aditya Bhat (percussion) take us on a journey through the uniquely original music of pianist and composer Phyllis Chen. Complimented with a series of improvisations, Ronan and Aditya take you on an inspection of Chen’s miniatures written for a fascinating combination of instruments, which includes the amusing, peculiar, and ingeniously playful device, the toy piano.

This concert is the second in a series of intimate mid-morning concerts featuring some of the country’s most exceptional young musicians from the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM).
